About Us/Me

Hi!  We are Michael and Mike and we are honored to share our story with you. We are a committed, loving pair and want to share that love with a little one should you give us the gift of this life-changing opportunity.

We met way back in 2005 on our first night of graduate school at Seton Hall University. It all began when Michael moved his seat to sit next to Mike “the cute guy that he recognized from Facebook”. We became fast friends, realizing we had a lot in common; from travel, to cooking, to being surrounded by good friends; and soon became inseparable. Once we started dating we recognized a strong common bond that starts with our families.  In 2013 after the legalization of marriage equality, we were excited to be married in New York City with the support and attendance of our loved ones. We now live in exciting Nashville, TN where we relocated to in 2017 for Michael’s job. After both growing up in the Northeast, we are loving the new experience we are having while meeting new friends and trying new foods.

Michael grew up in Rochester, NY and is the eldest of three (1 sister and 1 brother) who both live in Rochester with their spouses. With his parents still living in the area as well, we like to get back and visit as often as we can to taste Michael’s parents’ amazing Italian-American cooking, enjoy the wonderful Rochester festivals, and to see our beautiful 1-year old niece, Ava, who we adore. Michael’s family is thrilled at the prospect of our adoption journey and Ava can’t wait to meet her cousin! Michael completed his undergraduate in Physics from Seton Hall as well as his MBA shortly thereafter, where he met Mike. Today, he works in the corporate offices for an international automotive company.

Mike grew up in Little Silver, NJ and is the younger of two (1 sister).  She lives in London, England with her husband, and our handsome 2-year-old nephew, Alexander. Mike’s parents being semi-retired, love spending their time traveling to visit their loved ones in Tennessee and England.  When the family is all together you can find us making great memories at the Jersey shore, enjoying fun traditions during the holidays, and enjoying rides in Mike’s dad’s ’57 Chevy. Mike’s family is also very excited for our adoption journey and being a part of it all.  Mike completed his undergraduate in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware and then his MBA at Seton Hall. Mike has had a diverse career, from working full time in his family’s electrical contracting business for fourteen years, to most recently, working as an independent product developer and inventor in Nashville.

In our free time, you will often find us out for runs to train for a race, spending time with close friends, planning getaways to explore and experience different cultures, enjoying the local sports, or trying our hands at new recipes. Our favorite place to visit together is Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where Michael vacationed every year with his family. It became our anniversary traditional to visit as well.  We would also love to share with a child our love for the many local museums and theaters we have.  Michael can even teach them Italian and how to play the trumpet.

We hope that we have shared the wonderful traditions and experiences we wish to share with our new addition.  We are excited at the potential to become parents, and our child would be surrounded by a big, supportive group of friends and family members who will love and support them as much as we do.

About You

We know the decision you are making does not come lightly and we thank you for taking the time you have given to learn about us.  We are so grateful you may consider us for this wonderful gift and we want you to know how much this will mean to us and the promises and commitments we will share with you.

Our promise to you is that we will love this child and tell them so every day of our lives.  We will always offer encouragement for who they wish to be and teach them all we can about the world around them.  Together we will travel so they can experience the world themselves and support them in every way possible.  There will not be a day that this child will not know how special a gift they are.

As fathers we can’t wait to fill our home with even more fun, laughter, and good food shared as a family.  We can't wait to play games, explore our imaginations, and have story time every night.  We are committed to offering our child a loving and warm home, always.  With your help we can make this a reality.  Thank you for considering the two of us for the amazing role of Dad.
