Hello!
We are Jadie & Eryn in Mechanicsburg, PA. We've been married for 8 wonderful years after a mutual friend set us up on a blind date in Nashville, TN. We have a 4-yr-old son Chief who is curious, affectionate, stubborn, adventurous, and loves dinosaurs, math, people, and fruit. We also have a 1-yr-old daughter Cadence who adores her big brother, loves books, snuggles, and animals. We give them loving but firm boundaries, and are learning so much from them each day.
Jadie is a youth pastor at our church and he loves woodworking, board games, storytelling, disc golf, anything that gets him outside, and the Tennessee Titans. He is an extrovert with a huge heart and is attentive, gentle yet playful, and a wonderfully caring father to Chief and Cadence. Eryn is a self-employed professional musician (harp, guitar, piano, to name a few), and piano tuner. She enjoys cooking (but not cleaning), creating art, reading, snowboarding, gardening, and watching the same movies over and over. She cares deeply for others, available to help with any need at the quickest call. As a mother she loves unfailingly, plays creatively, and teaches constantly. Both Jadie and Eryn have a deep faith in God, and He is the foundation for their family.
Since before we even met each other, we both saw how many children in the world needed homes, and told ourselves we would some day adopt. That was one of the first conversations we ever had when starting to date, and the mutual calling to adopt that we saw in each other was one of the boxes that we each ticked on our mental checklists of what we were looking for in a partner. Now that we are in a stable situation in our jobs, home, and family, we are so incredibly excited to jump in to this adventure that God has had for us since before the beginning of our relationship!
We recognize the path of bravery you have chosen to take and the strength that it has required. We want to walk with you through this journey, as closely as you prefer or by giving you space. Although we haven't met yet, we have been praying for you for years and love you as a member of our family already. We promise to love and care for your child in every way we know how, giving them a home where they feel safe, valued, free to pursue their passions, and challenged to be corageous like their mother. We will be open about our family's story from the start, appreciative and respectful of you, and eternally grateful that God brought us all together.
