Hello,

We’re Michael and Charlie, and it’s an honor to meet you! We want to tell you all about us, and we hope this letter, our pictures and video help with that.

We have been together for over 6 years and married for the last 2 years. Charlie and I met the old fashion way back in 2011 at a New Year’s Eve party. Michael showed up to the party with a crooked bow tie, and Charlie came over, introduced himself and help fix Michael’s outfit for the night. We knew from that first meeting we were going to build a life together.

Michael has his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Coastal Carolina University and is a Merchant for Bath & Body Works International. He travels from Asia to South America for his job and has indeed found his dream job. But what he absolutely loves the most is to come home to a family that is everything.

Charlie is currently a full-time college student at Franklin University where he is obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Human Resources. Charlie has spent the past ten years in roles ranging from Office Manager to Director of Operations, mostly in the medical field. He is also an avid baker for the household. There is never a Birthday for Family, friend or neighbor without Charlie baking some of his Homemade Cupcakes with Homemade buttercream frosting!

We spend most of our free time traveling, hanging out with our chosen family of friends, family, and our 3 rescued fur babies…Pickles, Peanut, and Opie. We have traveled as far as Maui, Hawaii where we spent 3 weeks on our honeymoon. We have also been to Colorado, Illinois, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Texas, California, and the Carolinas. Our favorite thing to do is to drive two hours to our family lake house on Catawba Island, where we also have a sailboat. This house has been in our family for generations, and it’s a place filled with so much love and fun. We swim, fish, make smores, and at night we sit around a campfire and tell stories. We also have a standing four-year tradition of Sunday dinner with our three best friends. Two of which are recently married and have started to grow their family as well. Our dream is for our children to grow up together. 

Michael and I both come very large families, both of which we are very close. We spend every major event, birthday, and holiday together as a family and we are so excited to have our own child to celebrate and share our traditions with.

Adoption will bring us the joy & reality of parenthood. We want to treasure the experience of raising a child from birth and instilling them with strong morals & ideals, educate them about the world, and provide an honest, open, and secure environment where they are free to be whomever they wish to be and become.  An environment engulfed in love, surrounded by family, friends, and people who share our values.
