Hola/Hello! We are Alek and Frankie, and thank you so much for taking some time to get to know us. We are a goofy, sometimes nerdy, always loving couple who have always known that we wanted to be dads, and we are so grateful for your consideration.

Our Story:
After both independently moving to Houston (Frankie from Dallas, and Alek from New Jersey) a lucky right-swipe on Bumble brought us together in 2019. Alek was immediately drawn to Frankie’s caring and joyful spirit and Frankie loved Alek’s authenticity and openness. It didn’t take long for us each to realize we had found our person and fallen in love. In April 2020, Frankie came to stay with Alek for what we expected to be a 2-week pandemic shutdown, but turned into us moving in together - and we never looked back. We officially tied the knot in November 2022, on the 3-year anniversary of our first date!
We love spending time together by going on long walks around the neighborhood (including along the trail where Frankie proposed), playing board games, trying fun recreational activities like bowling, minigolf or the arcade, and going on road trips. We have many differing interests and skills, and have really come to appreciate being able to push each other out of our comfort zones to find joy in new experiences together. We both have very tight-knit, accepting, and supportive families, and we travel to Dallas and the Midwest often to visit them – and this is especially true since the birth of Alek’s niece in 2020 and Frankie’s two nephews in 2023!
We continue to bond over our shared values of commitment to faith and family, authenticity, and empathy and kindness towards others. And we (and our families) are so excited at the prospect of welcoming a child into our family.
A Little About Frankie:
I was born and raised in Dallas, and moved to Houston about 4 years ago for work. I am the General Manager of a swim school where I manage staff that teaches water safety and swim lessons to children under 5. Interacting with the kiddos and getting to watch them learn and grow is such a rewarding part of the job. When I’m not at work, you can find me in the studio practicing with my competitive hip-hop dance team, or snapping pictures around town to brush up on my photography skills. I love capturing both the smallest moments and most significant moments in life. My family has been so blessed to welcome our two nephews (only about 1 month apart), and we can’t wait for them to meet their cousin and grow up alongside them. All I ever wanted to do was make a difference in people's lives; you will always find me helping the people around me, especially those closest to me. I hope to make the most significant difference in our child’s life and provide them endless love, guidance, and growth. This is a moment I have thought about since I was little, and I can’t wait for it to become a reality.
A Bit About Alek:
I am originally from the suburbs of Chicago, but after graduating college my job took me down to Houston, then up to New Jersey (outside of NYC), and then right back down to Houston where I have been for a little over 4 years. I do miss being right around the corner from my family, having a real Fall season (which is my favorite), and the deep dish pizza, but I do NOT miss the cold. These days my family is all spread out, but FaceTime and our regular visits keep us very well connected; especially to my 2-year-old niece, who is such a joy and light in our lives! My love language is quality time, so I like to spend my social energy going on date nights with my husband, hosting friends at our house for a game night, or simply catching up with friends over dinner. I am a peacemaker and problem-solver at heart, and will always choose to help or support someone wherever I can. There have been times in my life where I wasn’t sure that I would ever have the opportunity to be a dad, and it means so much to me that you would consider us for this journey.
We have been looking forward to starting a family for so long and are eager to begin this journey. Thank you again for taking the time to read this, and we hope to get the opportunity to meet and know you as well!
