Below we have done our best to give you insights to who we are, the parents we want to be and how grateful we are to you.
We met in college through mutual friends and started dating in 2015. In 2018 we had a small wedding ceremony with immediate family at a local park with a close friend as our officiant. Kristen fell in love with Kevin’s generous heart, bold personality, and his passion for life. Kevin is outgoing and charismatic, easily the favorite uncle to our nieces and nephews and someone that people want to know and befriend. Kevin appreciates how supportive Kristen is, her caring nature, and her can-do attitude. Kristen is more reserved and thoughtful in her interactions, she cares deeply for those she loves, likes to build people up and will make sure everyone is taken care of. We compliment each other's strengths and protect each other's weaknesses greatly. Our relationship is built on honesty, respect and staying true to ourselves. Love, laughter and joy fill our home and our hearts.
Columbus, OH is home. We enjoy this area and take advantage of all it has to offer. It is common for us to go to sporting events, concerts, parks, the movie theater and much more. In the summers we will be visiting Kristen’s parent’s cottage to boat, fish and explore. When we aren’t out creating memories at said events or places we can be found relaxing at home enjoying each other's company. At home we enjoy the occasional puzzle, board game, movie, and come summer we spend time at the pool in our community several times a week. Kristen also loves to read, take on projects around the house and volunteer some weekends. Kevin plays ice hockey a couple times a week and looks forward to golfing occasionally. We are blessed with family, friends, co-workers, and teammates who make up our support system and have helped to get us this far in our journey to starting a family. Often, our weekends are spent visiting our families and we like seeing our friends on a regular basis. It is exciting to think about sharing all of these experiences and fun times with our children, knowing the people in our lives will welcome them with love and support.
Prior to getting engaged we discussed our future hopes and aspirations. Having children was, and still is one of our greatest hopes. We have been trying to get pregnant for a few years now without success. We considered fertility treatment, but realized that there are courageous and strong women, like you, looking for loving homes for their babies and how amazing it would be to be a part of that journey with you.
As parents, we are looking forward to raising our children with patience, acceptance, love and respect in an environment that encourages creativity, honesty and individuality. We hope to instill confidence in our children by supporting their passions and honoring their story and yours.
