We are Elbert and Carlos, and welcome to our Profile! We’re happy you’re here and super excited to tell you a bit about who we are and why we’re here.
About Elbert:
I was born and raised in Southern California by my Mom and Dad along with my older brother and sister. I was considered the creative kid who loved arts and crafts and played too many video games. I really think it was those passions that led me down a career path in computer engineering where I now get to use technology to imagine and create exciting things. Besides being a computer nerd, I’ve always been into the pop culture scene (Think movie and gaming franchises), home improvement projects (I’m surprisingly pretty handy around the house), and just trying to live a healthy and happy lifestyle. Most will probably say that I smile and laugh a lot, and I’m okay with that description since I love putting out positive energy and making others laugh with my bad dad jokes.
About Carlos:
I am the oldest of 3 siblings, I have a younger brother and sister (both of who are extremely excited about becoming an aunt and uncle). Our family was raised in Southern
California, so growing up we would often enjoy the sunny weather at the beach and parks. To this day I love being outdoors where you can usually catch me gardening in our backyard, enjoying a nice hike/stroll somewhere new, or playing with our pup Riker (with whom I’m obsessed). As for work, I am a Sales Manager for a major furniture store. While working here I developed a passion for interior design, and you can find me constantly redecorating, and working on DIY projects. I take pride in all the work we’ve put into improving our house and really making it feel like our home. Overall, my friends describe me as being a friendly, honest, and caring person, and hope you can see that reflected in our photos.
About Us:
Our story began in early December 2014 when we both decided to swipe right (Spoiler alert, we’re a Tinder success story!). We met in person on December 23 and have been pretty inseparable since then. We had so much in common that it was easy to spend time together. Some of our first dates were at Disneyland, walking through Candycane Lane, and at a symphony at the LA concert hall performing music from our favorite video game.
Our love for each other continued to grow over the years. Eventually, we bought a home together in Long Beach California and even adopted an adorable miniature schnauzer. We named him Riker and he is now part of our family. On the 7th anniversary of our first date, we officially got engaged. Then recently on the 8th anniversary, we got married! As you can see December 23rd is a very special day for us <3
We often spoke about having children someday, and the question was never “If”, but rather “When”. We’re now at the point in our lives where we simply can’t wait to have kids of our own to raise, care for, and love with all our hearts. Though we live in a happy home, it’s missing the sounds of kids laughing, running, and playing in it. We both grew up in large families and we know the joy and love that comes from each and every member. The day that our child arrives, will truly be the best day of our lives!

We know that your decision to be here is not an easy one or one that was made lightly. To be completely honest, we can’t even begin to understand the journey you are currently going through. But what we can promise is that we will listen and be there for you throughout the entire process. We want to hear your story and know the real you!
We also hope to build a long-term relationship with you. We understand the importance and benefit that comes from open adoption and are fully onboard with it. We don’t want to make assumptions as to your comfort level with open adoption, but we really want your child to know their story from the beginning, and you will always be a part of that.
We plan to raise your little guy or gal in the suburbs of Long Beach California. Our home is in a great neighborhood with excellent schools and community. We value love, kindness, honesty, and education and we plan to instill these values within our family.
We hope you know that we are incredibly grateful that you are here. As two men it’s obviously not possible for us to conceive children of our own, so we are hopeful that you to see that we are a loving family that will provide nothing but a loving and nurturing home for your child.
